Pest of the Month - Mushrooms
The recent rains are making them abundant. Are you annoyed by them? Do you worry your children or pets will eat them and get sick? Well, no need to worry.
Mushrooms are naturally occurring fungi that grow in humid and rich soil and work with mycorrhizae to further enrich the roots of plants. If you do stress out you can remove them to your compost, but they will bud again the next day.
A word of caution though: never eat a wild mushroom unless you can positively identify it. And that requires expert knowledge and training.
