Program: Learn how to put worms to work changing your kitchen
scraps into soil-boosting compost you can use to nourish
your garden plants. Following hands on demonstrations
and instructions, you will build your own portable
vermicomposter to take home with you.

Location: Building 28B, Rooms 201 & 202

Speaker: Joan Irwin, UC Marin Master Gardener. Joan Irwin has been a UC Marin Master Gardener since 2003 and has presented numerous public educational seminars on composting, organic vegetable gardening, and vermiculture. Her simple and low-cost method for setting up a worm composting bin has enabled many Marin gardeners to enjoy the benefits of cultivating worms.
