Program: Are you new to gardening, or considering making some changes to your garden this year? Come learn about 20 fragrant plants that do exceptionally well in Marin gardens. One of these shrubs, vines, perennials or annuals is sure to appeal to you. We will provide photos and discuss the growth habits and cultural requirements for each plant.
Speakers: Arlene Banks has been a Master Gardener since 2020. She has lived in San Rafael for over 30 years and during that time has learned what plants grow well in the Marin micro-climate. Arlene enjoys visiting gardens, talking to other gardeners and working in her own garden.
Deborah Spanier has been a Marin Master Gardener since 2016. As a Master Gardener, she has performed Garden Walks to give homeowners advice about water use, helped maintain the demonstration garden at Blackie’s Pasture in Tiburon and participated in the Exploring Habitats program for second graders. Deborah enjoys exchanging ideas with other gardeners and working in her home garden in Mill Valley where she lived for over thirty years.
