There are three free demonstration gardens in the county that you can visit – click on the links below to learn about locations and hours.  In addition, you can visit with volunteer Master Gardeners at the Help Desk in Novato and events like Farmers’ Markets, the County Fair and our annual Tomato Market in April.


Falkirk Garden

This San Rafael garden features different areas focused on plants that thrive in our Mediterranean climate.


Harvey’s Garden

This garden at Blackie’s Pasture in Tiburon transformed a former parking area into a beautiful low-water garden.


Farmers’ Markets

Visit a Master Gardener Help Desk with your garden questions at a local Farmers’ Market (May to October).


Marin County Fair

Visit our booth at this fun event to talk to expert gardeners and receive advice about sustainable gardening practices.


Edible Demonstration Garden

Visit our garden at the Indian Valley Organic Farm in Novato to learn best practices for growing food at home.

Tomato Market

For our major fundraiser, we grow tomato varieties that are selected to taste great and do well in Marin.
