Description and Cultural Plant Tips

'Belle Blanche' means white beauty in French and it certainly deserves this name. It has lovely 3" - 5" flowers that open in the evening and have a very strong tropical fragrance. Blue-green leaves are large and aromatic. All parts of this plant are toxic so it may not be the right plant if you have children.

Plant in amended, fertile soil. Adapts well to large garden pots. Can take full sun to partial shade. It cannot take a hard frost.

No disease problems but some insects like to nibble on the leaves.

Master Gardener Comments

This is a stunning plant for a patio or deck. However, it also looks good in the garden. The tropical  frangrance is incredibly strong and is released in the evening. Easy  to grow.
