Description and Cultural Plant Tips
Correa 'Wyn's Wonder is a beautiful varigated variety of Correa. It is a dense mounding plant with long, tube-shaped rose-pink flowers in winter. This is a great plant for the front of the shrub border or in a container on the patio.
Plant slighty above soil grade in well drained soil. Tolerates most soil types including alkaline soils. Does not need any amendments or fertilizers. Plant in full sun along coast and in part shade in the hotter, sunnier parts of Marin. This plant is considered drought tolerant once established. Prune lightly in spring to keep a compact shape.
All Correas attract bees and hummingbirds.
No serious diseases or pests. It is susceptible to oak root rot.

Master Gardener Comments
I have several Wyn's Wonders in my shrub border. Since it likes part shade in my sunny garden, it brings a bright spot to shadier areas of the garden. I also love it because it is one of the few winter blooming plants and requires very little work.
