  • Description and Cultural Plant Tips

Gold to chartreuse green leaves.  This low growing ground cover will spread and may naturalize so that you may transplant bits of it elsewhere in your garden.  It is rather delicate and does not take foot traffic.  It appreciates afternoon shade will keep its chartreuse color better.  Because it is somewhat tender, it retreats in the winter but shows up again early in the spring.

  • Master Gardener Comments

This is another plant that can brighten up the darker corners of your garden.  It makes a nice foil for contrasting colored plants as it forms a very dense mat around taller plants.  I wouldn’t call it invasive because it’s so lovely and delicate but you may only have to plant it once.
