Description and Cultural Plant Tips
Agastache 'Apricot Sunrise' has beautiful, burnt orange flowers with rosy, purple buds and small, medium green leavesthat have a licorice aroma. Production of side branches ensures an almost continuous supply of flowers all summer. Looks great in a perennial border, cottage garden or en masse as a point of interest. This is one of the best hummingbird plants that you can put in your garden! Some companion plants include; Agastache ' Blue Fountain', Achillea 'Moonshine', Nepeta varieties and daylilies.
Although this plant will tolerate most soils as long as the drainage is good, it grows best when the native soil is enriched with compost. Plant 2 feet apart in a sunny location with the top of the root ball level with the surface of the soil. Water well & add 2 inches of mulch around the plant to retain moisture & reduce weed development. Good drainage is essential for overwintering. In late fall, after flowering ceases, trim all flowering stalks back to the basal rosette of leaves. Side dress annually in the spring with compost or organic fertilizer.
Bees, butterflies and hummingbirds flock to this plant.
No serious diseases or pests.

Master Gardener Comments
Wonderful plant for waterwise gardens. It is a hummingbird magnet and also attracts lots of native bees. Love this plant with Achillea 'Moonshine' and orange or mahogany daylilies. Will die in winter if feet are too wet. Good drainage is a must.
