  • Description and Cultural Plant Tips

This is a very hardy, slightly mounded, low gowing juniper with dense, grass-green foliage. It can be used as a foundation plant, on slopes for erosion control, as a lawn replacement, in an entry way, or along a parking strip. It is less susceptible to Juniper Blight than other junipers

Plant slightly above soil grade in any well-drained soils in full sun. Adding compost to the soil will improve the initial growth rate of the plant and improve drainage. Water well after planting. Mulch around plant in a 2' - 3' diameter.

Junipers have few pests or diseases. It is susceptible to spider mites but this more resistant to Juniper Blight than other varieties. Check the UC IPM website for treatment options.
