Event Details

The Program:  Join us and learn how easy it is to grow herbs and turn the bounty of your garden into culinary treasures, from delicately scented sugars and teas to flavorful herb salt rubs and herb-infused vinegars.

The Speaker: Anne-Marie Walker, is an active Marin Master Gardener since 2005 and served as MMG President in 2010. She has co-chaired the Marin Master Gardener Farm Day exhibit for four years, introducing many children to vegetable gardening; and helped to establish the UC Dig it, Grow it, Eat program taught in both school and community gardens. A fourth generation San Franciscan, she first learned about farming on her family’s Gravenstein apple and sheep ranch in Cloverdale. Anne-Marie also writes articles on edibles and herbs for UC publications and the Marin Independent Journal, and conducts public seminars. She holds a BS from Georgetown University and an MBA from University of San Francisco; and is a certified UC trainer for Edible and Sustainable Landscapes classes.
