The Program: Join us and learn all about fertilizers and amendments. We will discuss how and why to add them to your soil, including the pros and cons of using organics vs. inorganic fertilizers.

The Speakers: Judy Orsini was a landscape architect and became a UC Marin Master Gardener in 2015. As a Master Gardener, she assists with the annual tomato market, and has participated in the Plant It, Grow It, Eat It program, performed Garden Walks to give homeowners advice about water use, and provided advice at the Marin County Fair and various farmers markets. She also helped to get a community garden built in Mill Valley where she grows her own vegetables and fruits. Judy is a member of our Edibles and Plant Identification Guilds.

Jenine Stilson became a UC Marin Master Garden in 2014 and has been on the leadership team of the Edibles Guild for the last three years. She spent time growing up on her parents' almond orchard in the heat of Yolo County, and has been a life-long gardener of edibles ever since. She's a contributing writer for Backyard to Belly and has presented at the Indian Valley Organic Farm & Garden, libraries throughout the county and various school gardens.
